The Weekly Script: Forex Weekly Analysis as a Plan in Three Parts
The Weekly Script is reading the week as a plan the market makers wrote in advance: the induction, the trap, the reversal, always in that order. It is a way of doing forex weekly analysis that asks where the week is, not only which way it will close. "Wrote in advance" is our reading: nobody outside can show a plan exists, only the order the candles came in.

What does the Weekly Script look like on a chart?
It looks like three different trades, told in one order. Gold opened the week of 27 July 2026 at 4088.64. We count $1 as 1 pip.
- The induction. Monday and Tuesday both closed down, each with a lower low. Tuesday's close, 4027.88, was 61 pips under the open. That is the Induction Trend.
- The trap. At 10:00 New York on Wednesday gold reached 3995.66, the low of the week, 16 pips under Tuesday's low. That is the Stop Hunt of the Midweek Trap, what most traders call a liquidity sweep. The 12:00 hour closed back over Tuesday's low at 4027.05.
- The reversal. After the Fed's decision at 14:00, gold closed over Tuesday's high on the 14:30 candle and over the week's open on the 14:45. By 10:00 on Thursday it was at 4120.16, 125 pips off the low. That is the WTF Reversal.
Friday gave most of it back and closed at 4043.24, 77 pips under that high. The script gives an order, not a distance.

Another week shows the day moving. USD/CHF opened the week of 28 September 2026 at 0.82766, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all closed higher, 80 pips over the open by Wednesday. Wednesday's low, 0.83206, came on US core PCE and GDP at 08:30, and the day still closed near its high of 0.83616. No trap. It came at 02:30 on Thursday, the candle CHF CPI (medium impact) landed in: 0.83822, 21 pips over Wednesday's high, and the 03:00 hour closed back under that high at 0.83401. Friday's 02:00 candle took the week's open back and reached 0.82660, 116 pips off the high. The chart stops 30 minutes later, and the jobs report at 08:30 took price on to 0.82269, 155 pips off the high.

A turn can come a day early too. In the same week as that gold chart, the euro made its low on Tuesday. One dollar moved both, so that is one week's evidence, not two.
The Weekly Script and forex weekly analysis: what is the difference?
Most forex weekly analysis starts from the weekly candle. Name the trend, mark the zones, note last week's high, low and open, check the economic calendar, pick a bias. We mark those levels too. The difference is the question. A bias says which way. The script says which part.
On that gold week, a bias to sell was right on Monday, right on Tuesday and wrong by Wednesday afternoon. A forecast can be right about direction and still bring you in at the point the week, on our reading, is built to punish.
The Three Seats read the same week differently. Retail sees a new trade every day: a trend on Monday, more of it on Tuesday, a breakout on Wednesday. The market maker, on our reading, sees one plan: pull the crowd in, take their stops, run the other way. The observer asks where the week is in that plan, and which day comes next. The weekly cycle forex guide walks the whole week, and a week marked up in full shows it on a live chart page.
How do you read the Weekly Script?
You read it after the fact, day by day, as those two weeks played out. On gold the first two days fell, Wednesday's low went under Tuesday's and closed back that afternoon, and the rise ran into Thursday. Each part sat where the name puts it.
USD/CHF had the same three parts on different days. It rose for three days, passed Wednesday with no hunt, and put in its high and its close back early on Thursday. The fall came after that. The euro, in gold's own week, turned on Tuesday.
Some weeks never play it. They run one way from open to close. We only draw a weekly chart when the week turned, so these are chosen examples, not a sample. A reversal seen afterwards is not a setup, and our own test of the daily setup as a mechanical rule did not make money.
What do traders get wrong about the Weekly Script?
Three readings cost the most.
- Taking a good start for the whole week. On gold, a seller was ahead on Monday and Tuesday, and the week's high came on Thursday.
- Expecting a date. On USD/CHF, Wednesday came and went near its high, with the high of the week still to come.
- Judging a week by one day. On USD/CHF, Wednesday looked like a plain rise. By early on Friday price was 116 pips off Thursday's high.
Which words does the Weekly Script lead into?
Four sit next to it.
- The WTF Reversal: the reversal through the herd's stops, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- The Chaos Pattern: the same idea on one day. Asia sets the scene, London breaks it, New York reverses it.
- The Induction Trend: the trend of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday that dumb money follows.
- Perceptual Positioning: seeing the same chart from three seats.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Weekly Script in forex?
It is a way of reading the week as a plan the market makers wrote in advance: the induction, the trap, the reversal, always in that order. The plan is our reading. Nobody outside can show one exists. What can be shown is the order the candles came in on a real week.
How is it different from a normal forex weekly analysis?
A normal weekly analysis names the trend, marks the zones and picks a bias for the week. The Weekly Script asks which part of the week you are in. On gold in the week of 27 July 2026, a bias to sell was right for two days and wrong by Wednesday afternoon.
What if the turn does not come on Wednesday?
The same parts can still come in the same order, on other days. On USD/CHF in the week of 28 September 2026 Wednesday closed near its high, and the trap came on Thursday at 0.83822. Some weeks never play it at all.
Does every week follow the Weekly Script?
No. Some weeks run one way from open to close and never play it. We only draw a weekly chart when the week turned, so the weeks on this page are chosen examples, not a sample. A reversal seen afterwards is not a setup.
